The Tisa School is a non-profit organization that provides education and resources to underprivileged children in the area. The school was founded in 2013 by local volunteers who wanted to make a difference in their community by providing access to quality education for all children, regardless of their background or financial situation.
The Tisa School currently serves over 450 students from pre-kindergarten through grade 9 and offers a range of subjects including Khmer language, math, science, social studies, English, art, music, physical education and computer skills. The school also provides free meals, uniforms and transportation for its students to ensure that they have access to the resources they need to succeed academically.
In addition to providing educational opportunities, Tisa School also focuses on community development by offering adult literacy classes, health education programs and vocational training courses. The school's goal is to empower children and families in Kampot to break the cycle of poverty through education and opportunity.
