Getting to Bokor Mountain

The nearest airport is located in Sihanoukville, about 1 hour away from Bokor City by car or taxi. From there, you can hire a private taxi or take a shared transportation service to reach the Bokor province.

Alternatively, if you're driving, follow the national highway NH33 from Kampot city to reach Bokor City. The scenic route offers stunning views of the surrounding countryside and will give you an idea of the region's rich natural heritage.

From Kampot:

Kampot is the closest city to Bokor Mountain, making it an ideal starting point for your adventure. From Kampot town center, take a taxi or motorbike ( approx. 30-40 minutes) to reach the base of Bokor Mountain. You can also hire a private car or join a guided tour to make the most of your visit.

From Phnom Penh:

Phnom Penh is about 2 hours away from Bokor Mountain by car or taxi, depending on traffic conditions. Take national highway NH33 towards Kampot and then turn right onto the Bokor Road. The scenic route will take you through lush forests and rolling hills.

From Sihanoukville:

Sihanoukville (Kampong Som, as locals call it), is about an hour's drive from Bokor Mountain. Take national highway NH33 towards Kampot and then turn left onto the Bokor Road. The journey will take you through picturesque countryside and coastal scenery.

Important Note: Travelers should be aware that Bokor City is a new adHinistrative area created in 2021, spanning most of the former national park. As such, some infrastructure development and changes to local policies might affect travel plans.
